The Options Market

One of the most misunderstood areas of the investment world is the options market. Many investors think of options as a risky, speculative investment. In general, options are bought by people who expect dramatic, short term moves in stocks, and this is definitely the realm of speculators. However, one of the most successful strategies for earning extra income for a long term investor is covered call writing. This iinvolves selling an option on a stock you own.
